Lots of adrenaline. Really clever with good pacing, too. Scary, but it's supposed to be.

Btw there's a sequel to this called Tajjii Majjii/タッジー・マッジー (AKA "Tussie Mussies", a type of Victorian bouquet) but I haven't been able to find raws ANYWHERE. ;w;

It was just an obscure manga iirc; no anime. The girl ladybug robot was a chibi drawn in 90's style with roughly the same PROPORTIONS as Astro Boy, but not that style. The villains were like Flint Time Detective but it was not that series... Ugh this is bothering me, I can usually find...

I buy when I can, but without scanlations, I never would've even HEARD of most of these series. 90% of what I buy on amazon.co.jp is from Lovely Strange Dark scans and hitting Mangadex's beloved Random button, then refreshing. Especially since I like old stuff that tends not to get official...

Very cute! Official site seems to be here: http://ebook.takeshobo.co.jp/sp/bernie/index.html I can't find anything on the author. :( Is it a temporary pen-name of someone more widely-known? The content is altogether not unlike Nekomix Toraji, although I believe the style is different.

I thought the unfinished status of the translation might be a numbering issue (i.e. some tankouban in different editions combine several volumes) but I purchased the entire series on Kindle, and the English version really does appear to be missing part of the story...
