Story set out to what it wanted to do, did it, did it well, and did it convincingly. It didn't end the way I first wanted it to, but the ending flowed from the personality of the characters, so I am satisfied.

I like the story so far. Gran is set up as an antagonist (with an unaware MC), and his exploiting the kind MC makes her seem more likable. The struggle builds conflict for the next few chapters. Her will power is disappointingly low, but it is the first chapter.
