@shiirosagi it's not just simply tradition. In wuxia culture which is based on traditional Chinese ideals the relationship between master and apprentice is considered to be more sacred than that of parent and child. Student master relationship would be the same as parent child relationship.

@alacaelum It's shijie/shimei for senior/junior sis, shixiong/sidi for senior junior bro, its hard to pronounce in english so most translations just do the literal. It doesn't seem to roll of the tongue like the Japanese/Korean equivalents.

@dummyaccount12345 I have no idea the story develops pretty naturally and once he leaves the main sect to do outer sect duties he hasn't met with the tsundere again. So far it's unlikely for this story to develop into a typical harem based on how the story and characters have been portrayed.
