I'm okay with that. This manga has been a weird but enjoyable combination of goofy, serious, lewd, wholesome and surreal all along, so even though the ending felt sort of axed-rushed, it wasn't like it was all that far out of line with the rest of the manga. And it did tie up all the loose ends.

That was a great chapter. So many pleasing slices of so many lives.

Next I want to see them telling other people that they're officially a couple, and literally every single person responding with some varition on "It's about damned time."

Well - I owe an apology to all of the people I was deriding a few chapters back because they had already decided that the ending was going to suck. You were right.

I can't figure out what Chiaki's endgame is here. She apparently already got her revenge against her killer, but that part of it was just glossed over, as if it wasn't even all that important. The really important thing to her seems to be for Ryouhei to die. But why? Why is that so vital to her?

Holy shit - nine pages of angry douchebags wailing about an ending that hasn't even happened yet. I'm just looking forward to seeing what's going to happen next. I have no idea, but after 198 chapters of quality storytelling, I fully expect it to be quality storytelling, whatever it is.

Looking forward to seeing OL-san's viewpoint. That was obviously a big deal to her (that blush was epic), but of course she didn't know what a big deal it was to Shibasaki too.

This is such a weirdly disjointed manga. The mangaka keeps introducing new elements that briefly look like they could be important in the long term, then they just sort of peter out or fade away, and it moves on to the next thing that looks like it might be important in the long term but then...

No matter what comes next, that was a beautiful and welcome chapter. That said, I expect a good end. I don't think it's a coincidence that all of the potential drama is based on what happens to normal vampires and normal humans, and neither of them is either one.

Just commenting to note that I just re-read this chapter for the I-don't-know-how-manyth time, and it's still wonderful.

Odd that she says that she "chose" him. I went back and reread chapter 10 - the flashback chapter - and there's some interesting stuff in there.

It makes me chuckle cynically to myself every time a fujoshi shows up in a manga and a bunch of creepy mfers all start going off about how creepy she is. Like, do none of them ever look in a mirror?

Funny that this thread is full of people alternately judging ponytail too quickly and bitching about ponytail judging Ri-chan too quickly.

Yuri is a festering boil on the ass of an otherwise great manga.

Well - the one who said that Airu would be fine then covered Urumin's eyes to shield her from the violence looks to be some combination of tall kuudere and team mom - probably something sort of like Yui in YuruYuri.

This was easily one of the best chapters in years. Instead of another bizarre contrivance to somehow make it so that there's still no progress, it just put all that shit aside and had some fun. And it was especially nice to see Saotome and Hanako hanging out on the roof together at the end...

Those last two panels are brilliant. Ri-chan's world is coming back into focus.
