It definitely was, though it's hard to say how intentional. If you look at page 16 panel 6, the way the dude's mouth and eyes go... no one who has read baki could say it wasn't inspired directly. Absolutely no one in manga besides the author of baki draws expressions that way.

It's really quite refreshing for someone with Yukari's personality to just be great at learning everything, hahah. The airheaded "oh I can do it by feeling" character in her best friend is a well-established trope, but Yukari being good at studying, learning basketball, and now at least seeming...

I suspect you're misunderstanding. You seem to think that the elder is saying that "block 5" is Great's weakness that Master is referring to. On the contrary, from my perspective, his weakness is "the law itself". He feels obligated to follow the law to the letter. We can't know the cause yet...

Kinnikuman isn't the type of serious, well thought out manga where you should consider how bullshit their death system is :P just enjoy the ride, and if something clever does happen, appreciate it in the moment, don't start trying to make sense of everything else, too!
