I watched an anime that had that ending and it pissed me off. I really hope they go with either a fake out or just dead with nothing left but memories. I'll take almost anything over having her girlfriend become her kid.

I forgot about Komachi. I thought Akira was her one and only. I'm also curious who the corpse is. But the hair was blonde and there was a bit of death flag dialogue in the beginning of the chapter. Thanks for the TL.

I like this and the anime but this chapter confirmed my preference for the manga. It's paced so much better. It's still my favorite anime of the season though along with Vinland Saga.

Does anyone have a guess to how many chapters are left in this series? It's one of my favorites and it feels like it's reaching its end. I was hoping this would be a 60+ chapter series.
