I like Yamada's take on Ieyasu. It's similar to the impression I got of the man from history books. Paranoid and authoritarian. I often wonder what Japan would have been like if Nobunaga would've survived. Probably more innovative and less neurotic but still brilliant.

True story. Here in Western Canada men are expected to buy flowers, gifts, jewelry, chocolates, fancy dinners, etc. for their significant others on valentines day. Women are not, although they might put out if the gifts are big enough. Schoolkids will give small cards to everyone.
