@Owyn One is a derivated skill of the other. So what that means is that the dragon had Pain alleviation, maxed it, and got nullity. some integrate into others, but when the derived skill is basically maxed out the moment you acquire it, because it has no levels, nothing gets integrated into it...

@linkhuesitos15 There's also the whole issue of the way the story's structured in the manga in comparison to the LN/WN in that it doesn't jump perspectives, heck, almost at all. This will probably lead into a freaking ass long S Chapter arc, Oni chapter arc, Oni (Different character) chapter arc...

@fatalystic I don't know, I feel like it worked out well in the end for the web novel. Yeah, it was a bit convoluted and you quite literally HAVE to piece out what the heck taboo was all about by yourself, but it felt awesome and made you feel super smart when you did figure it out on your own...
