Often when you see an angry/struggling character in stories like these, the emotions can feel lukewarm, but that last scene definitely made him look a bit unhinged. I think the beard stubble is what sold it for me.

So, a couple things: 1) I can only barely remember what's happening here since the releases are so far apart. I'll probably need to read this from the first chapter once more to get oriented. 2) This art is actually jaw-dropping. Bravo to the artist(s).

That long vertical panel of them exchanging blows is actually super cool. It's a still image, but the way it pans from land --> sky -> land makes it give the impression of a fully animated arcing camera movement.
