He's clearly lost the vast majority of his strength, though I cannot be clear on the details. As for his lack of critical thinking I have no explanation other than perhaps, age (according to his history in chapter 2), he shouldn't be very old, likely not yet an adult.
I was referring to Chapter 3 page 19 and Chapter 5 page 6, the TL uses the word "SALT" to refer to alcohol. Which is clearly not right. Sake is also probably not correct, due to the western setting and the absence of rice from any and all food scenes.
@gashadokai , you keep using the word salt to refer to alcohol. I do not think that word means what you think it means. I don't know what the raws say, but the closest word in English would be malt, though this is semi-germinated grain used to make alcohol and is also not right. It looks like...

It's possible if he has some kind of special status, he might be an officer of the army, or he might have high enough individual strength to warrant an individual summons, alternatively, he might have been issued a mission.
Kinda of an unnecessary fyi, but brand names are under trademark, not copyright, which is distinctively different, although they are all intellectual property. You'd probably be fine including brand names, since including a brand name in a work of fiction is not usually trademark infringement...
