I would assume they're translating using the official release as a base. I don't think the official TL release of the manga is up to here, but the official TLs of the LNs are done, and the LNs call her "Rae". Or rather, if I recall correctly, they seperate her old and new world names - her name...

On the one hand the cover gives me hope. On the other... we saw how Kaede reacted to the other confession. I want to be positive, but I can't help but feel like this won't go well, or at least not smoothly.

@Acolytus ah but this is the way of a long serialised Manga. Gotta drag things out and timewaste on comedy nonsense and filler arcs, and inflate it with 5000 side characters to keep it serialised as long as possible... woe upon you if you actually desire a plot to progress. Oh and bonus...

Casual les characters? Little hints you could pick up on before they revealed it? Handling it just as a thing it is without making much if any of a deal of it? Nice! This manga has its ups and downs with how it presents many things... but presenting non-straight characters as just a normal...
