Zooku feels like a japanese version of an english word, like say, Zook, Zuk, Zork or the like. This is just my opinion, but I think they were trying to use a term that was similar to "zerg" without actually using it. Whether that gives the okay for the translator to just call it Zerg or not is...

As an engineer in my 30's, I do indeed talk this way at times. We really only talk "scientifically" when someone tries to call us out on our knowledge. We only talk prim-and-proper in front of clients/customers. So yeah, I don't get the issue the other fella has with the way the group TLed this...
