I’m a little late to reading this but this has instantly become my favourite chapter for the series for it’s depiction of the creative process.

Ya I’d say Beem is reasonable because he’s actually a student at the school that anyone could realistically ask and convince to help on their battler project Even if he’s an acclaimed individual.

tbh when I started reading this chapter, it felt like it was kind of unfair for the magitools battler to get help from 2 famous artists while everyone else is just getting whatever manpower their battler already has so I think this is the best possible outcome.

Yagumi is just inherently funny.

Ya and I like that because the chapters leading up to this point lead you to root against Yagumi. It feels cathartic to see him get knocked down a peg after everything.

i feel like 40 chapters is the benchmark where a series goes from being registered as relatively short by me to somewhat meaty. and here we are.

it feels so weird seeing a series I’ve read since it was more or less a sort of edgelord parody get big and get an anime. I’ve seen it happen a bunch by now and I don't even usually watch the animes because manga is a much better format but still, it’s crazy to me.

I LOVE the usage of the speech bubble to obscure the face of the cockatrice. A great method to get you into the heads of the character.

I feel so rewarded for remembering a character who appeared in like 2 panels during the Zeze backstory. Definitely the most memorable of them though, with the hatemail scene.

At least we‘re somewhat getting back on track(?) idk for a while it’s felt like this series has just been stalling with dumb C-plots about dad’s savings or a manga club or something, things that usually don’t involve the main hero and heroine and even less often, both.

Give me more of these characters instead of small Sabnock. This series has such a colourful cast of character, I don’t know why the writer wants to focus the lense on some very boring ones.

Looking at the other shots, the space between Beem’s split pupils is much smaller in all other panels so I’d assume it’s intentional. Good detail catch, dude.

This is a pretty good ending for the characters all things considered. We never learned what the half vampire stuff was about and that ticks me off a little but otherwise this is all in all a pretty good final destination for the cast. The only thing I probably would have changed is have Kou...
