@alannondarklord The reason it simple.
Author wanted the MC to show off his OPness and mindbreak people, even if the given scenario was absolutely retarded
@ahobaka It seems more that she went from randomly generating hot energy and combustion, to precisely controlling the flow of energy, thus creating something like a pseudo-solid where the particles are bound along where she wants them.
In a side-story of the LN, it's explained that the Guildmaster didn't have any bad intentions with Benno and his family store. The guildmaster is just kinda clumsy with emotions, and wanted to save the Gilberta company considering it seemed like it would have gone under without Benno's dad. But...
God... it's only been a month since the previous chapter, but this story is so unmemorable that I keep having to check back on early chapters to remember what the fuck happened and what this story is about.
My only guess is that she called is "plague" in English or something, to contrast with all the other mentions of plague? I guess that's just the Japanese name for it?
Might be better to translate it as Black Death.
Which adaptation to read?
Simple! All of them!
Read the Web Novel, BOTH Manga, the Light Novel (when that gets licensed), and then watch the anime (if that ever happens)!
@alfa2aero probably because of disease. It sounds obvious to use shit as fertilizer, cause we do that with cows... But cow diseases are unlikely to affect humans.
@kaminomikan The comic has changed a few (mostly tiny) things here and there, so it's possible.
Supposedly, the reason it turned out like that in the Web Novel is because of the author's wife. The artist for the comic doesn't have to go with that :P
@nachtness Not a "whim".
It was more like those times where someone goes "Boo!" when you turn the corner, and without thinking you punch them in the face.
Except instead of them going "boo", they just have an ugly face.
And when you punch, you insta-kill them.
Dude put no effort into trying to make the relationship work, while she put in everything… Yeah, that's not how things work lol. Everything falling apart is only expected.
So… every 10 years, this society performs ritual kidnapping, dresses up their victim as a hero, parades him around, and then send him back home?
Yeah, don't see anything wrong with that.
What's with the complete disregard for healers? Even if he's of the "lowest level" of recovery jobs, couldn't he still be useful? 😒 It's also dumb to waste human resources by basically teleporting them to some random locale wherever. It also doesn't make sense that his bullies would be so open...
@mammaria The Manga hasn't focused a lot on it, but the king has a couple wives, and Hersch's mom was basically the "favorite consort" who always did weird and crazy things.
