@Reticent How many chapters are left and about how many before It picks up again, in your opinion?

    Snake Woman and Offering-chan - Ch. 7

I like asparagus. It’s very good with cayenne powder. It makes my pee smell funny though :/ @kojiro481 She was intended to be a human sacrifice to the snake lady, so at one time it was literal. I think we’ve long since moved past that into euphemism though.

    Tokyo Kaido - Vol. 1 Ch. 8

Delta blues in the key of space, huh? Sounds like something Sun Ra would play. I wonder if Mochizuki-sensei is a fan, I wouldn’t be too surprised.

Tsuma, Shougakusei ni Naru. - Vol. 3 Ch. 19

I’m glad “mom” called him out on not being their for his daughter when she needed it. It’s okay to be sad, but neglecting his child because of it is pretty inexcusable.

    Wet Moon - Vol. 1 Ch. 7

For those who are curious, the movie Sada was abandoned at is George Melies' 1902 film A Trip to the Moon. It was incredibly influential on contemporary movies, particularly in terms of special effects and fantasy narrative. It's only 12 minutes long and worth watching (public domain, YouTube).

Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san - Vol. 8 Ch. 61 - Senpai... what did you talk about with my sister...?

Lol, only in Japan. “So what, you wanna know how big my tits are? Hahahahaha.” “I want to know your first name.” ... “You know, there’s a such thing as taking a joke too far.”

Nettaigyo wa Yuki ni Kogareru - Vol. 7 Ch. 27.5 - Konatsu Amano Won't Stand Still (part 2)

I like this chapter. It’s pretty uncommon in media to see men having a heartfelt conversation about fatherhood, it’s more often played for jokes.

Runaway Girl - Vol. 6 Ch. 36.2 - Homecoming (Unofficial fanguide)

Wow, this guide is impressive. Thanks for your hard work on this series, I really enjoyed it.

Calling the Chelsea Hotel “upscale” is a stretch. These days it’s a two-star hotel in a good location for touring Manhattan, but in the 1960s it was pretty seedy. If it weren’t for its past famous residents (and deaths), it’s doubtful it would be more notable than any of the other former, since...

    Futari Ecchi - Vol. 2 Ch. 17

Fun fact: Shel Silverstein also wrote the song “A Boy Named Sue,” later made famous by Johnny Cash.

    Chiisakobee - Vol. 4 Ch. 44 - END

@purplelibraryguy Ugh, NTR. -1000/10. Seriously though, I really enjoyed this. Thanks for translating guys, it’s impressive that you did such a good job on your first project. I can’t blame you if you want to branch out to other authors, but I’d be happy to read more Mochizuki-sensei if you do...

Neko no Otera no Chion-san - Vol. 5 Ch. 38 - Love Gossip?!, The School Pool and Chion.

@Faulheit Evidently cousin-marriage isn't historically rare in Japan. For example, according to this study, in 1986 1.6% of Japanese marriages were between first cousins and 3.9% were consanguineous. I didn't have much luck (or spend much time looking into it, honestly) finding contemporary...

Neko no Otera no Chion-san - Vol. 5 Ch. 37 - Chion and an Old Friend's Surprise Attack.

Hmmm, on the one hand I want to see where this goes. On the other, I don’t know how Makoto-sensei tops smacking Chion’s booty.

    Denkigai no Honya-san - Vol. 3 Ch. 12 - Bustle

This is a great chapter, it really hits home if you’ve worked with a good/fun team before. You’ll all go your separate ways eventually, gotta enjoy it while it lasts.
