Shinichi's dad smokes and Shinichi most likely was in contact with officers who smokes while he's solving a case for them. Most likely Shinichi grew tolerance of the smoking smell. At least cigarette smoke smells better than weed, lol.

A much needed personal case for Shinichi that tested his resolve. It's not easy to prosecute someone who you have a special attachment like Ray did to Shinichi. Glad Heiji managed to cheer Shinichi up. He's a true brother.

Shinichi mentioned before that he's willing to bring even his closest friend to justice but only after he tries really hard to prove they're not the culprit. This case will put Shinichi's word to the test.

Huh in the anime, Conan kicked a helmet to break the window to save Ai. I do like that change. Anyway, iconic CoAi moment. Conan saved her life and told her not to give up. Shinichi truly is a mastermind

Give her a break Gosho. A few weeks ago, a serial killer was about to gut her open if her future boyfriend didn't save her in time. I'm surprised she doesn't have a bodyguard with her since her family is loaded but yet again, rich people in Conan world don't normally have guards with them.

I was taken aback about Kogoro's 'jungle comment. Like sheesh... Again, I like how side characters like the inspector are given backstories and characters development. It helps make the characters more relatable and you do root for them to succeed in their goals.

Talk about a worst kept secret.... Amazing case, the anime version really did a good job especially the scene with Heiji and Kazuha at the cliff. They captured the tension of the moment but I still wonder how the heck they managed to escape certain death?
