I agree. While the premise of everyone hating FL is interesting and at the beginning I thought it was compelling. Especially when FL past related to her current situation. The story lost focus like It feel like there isn't a point to much of what FL is doing apart from being hurt and...
I am amazed at the depth of the story told here. It isn't just MC is OP and collects OP side characters. Rather it's actually a 16 year old girl raising 4 other children. The story never shys away from exploring this odd premise and all the consequences. I never thought "this made no sense" or...
@ahpathy I agree. There is nuance to their relationship. It isn't a matter of parents being awful and doing awful things but parents wanting the best, trying, and not getting what they wanted. That's a more complicated picture than just awful people.
@rdirf I love this manwha for the same reason as well. There is a lot of complexity and messy details like very real relationships. Everything that MC says and does is genuinely believable to be impressive and bold unlike the vast vast majority of other works.
That's why good translations is...
@xpeanut I was wondering about this was well. I thought she didn't have a lot of time to establish this kind of relationship with Johannes. Maybe later on the stores would explore it more or just leave it up for speculation about their relationship. It's interesting at least.
Far and away the most interesting and unique way to start a story like this. I think this is the only time I seen someone go out of their way to use a unique art style to begin.
I love that the passage of time is hinted at throughout the chapter such as when Frim grows up or the character's age. It's makes time passing more poignant than just saying it. There is a bunch of manga/series out there that just say 5000 years pass or 20 years pass. In those series, time...
@dawned
Thanks for the clarification on the translation. I don't know if it's just my reading skills, but I had absolutely no idea what they were talking about during that conversation between Korean and Japan hunter association.
Sensei is probably the most compassionate character I have read in any series so far. He literally spent thousands of years caring for these gems. Even with all these revelations, he was never once thought of betraying the gems even though the story was sort of alluding to it. It's actually an...
Maybe I am a dumb dumb here. But don't get Phos's motivations here. Maybe in the next chapters it would be clearer about what her motivations and conflict is.
