@Seraphy it’s because of how huge a stigma being fat is in Japan. It’s why fat people are the butt of the joke almost all the time, or how a nice fat person is seen always eating. They will continue to reiterate her fatness until she suffers from anemia like so many characters in manga/anime.

I usually like otome isekai over the typical isekai because of the simple fact that it’s not wish fulfillment. There’s an actual risk and reading the different ways the mc try to overcome it is so much better than the usual isekai that devolves into a cooking genre that disguises as an isekai.
