I think saying she did this ridiculous journey with no magic when literally every other human warrior we've seen relies on magic and she never seemed to have non magic combat training is kinda dumb but whatever. I know the author wanted to have some reason for why she wasn't this unstoppable force when defending the city but I think they could have come to a more reasonable answer.
