From the last page it sounds like Hal already knows he will lose his current personality and regain his memories at some point during this game and become the Leader again, but then what is the point of him learning from Fukurou about the past now? I doubt the author is doing this just to show...

this is like after playing a lot of elder scrolls, when I was walking I would think "ah, mushrooms, I should pick them" or "that plant looks like it could be picked".

Only in this manga could you have such a combo of cheerful Disney-esque "let's clean up the evil magician's house!" and super creepy "stepping closer and closer to madness" psychological horror.

I have to say, this is the first story arc in the whole manga where I've actually been able to follow along completely. I know a lot of strategy and logic problems. It's just the way the author is explaining things is much better than before.

I dropped this manga at around vol 17, I just couldn't keep interested. Marco is the only character I care about! Leave my precious child alone! But I picked it up again on a whim and powered through to the latest chapters (vol 40) and I'm really impressed. The author has gotten so much better...

This manga is so relentlessly funny. Clearly the king has completed the barbarian class and reclassed to mage but got too lazy to grind back up to lvl 99.

This manga has been so satisfying to read. It is a coming of age story I can really relate to. As much as sensei deserves a break I can't wait to see her next series. Back to fantasy? Or more cow propaganda?

Based on Boutarou's assumption Shiraishi was the boss of Sugimoto, it would really be a long game plot twist if Shiraishi turned out to be a Keyser Soze character. Sensei continues to know how to draw sexy men of all types.
