Wtf? Author didn't need to jump the shark towards such extremely dark themes just to justify the divorce. There are so many ways the topic of why people divorce can be touched on without such an extreme twist.

Most of the story really was Rinka and Yashiro's development, with Tsubaki on the side as an afterthought. Her "screentime" was way lower than Rinka's. I guess the skipped development from the novels that people are talking about must have been Tsubaki's arc.
