I swear that the whole class has an alarm clock that goes "IT'S JOBBING TIME" while the MC has a clock that says "it's useless o'clock" twice a day. I guess it's easier to make miserable characters for readers to sympathize, but no one roots for jobbers. Make heroes likeable again!
