This is my assumption as well. It's not terribly uncommon in manga to have an editor/publisher insist on getting into the action faster so you see these situations where stuff gets presented in flashbacks instead of a linear buildup. Personally I'm not a big fan of that process.

If you mean NEET Otaku Kunoichi, I have bad news for you. It's hard to translate, and we've had a hard time keeping translators on that series. We've put it on hold for now.

FWIW, one of the series I work on with Toruscans is an LN adaptation where the LN translation got the main character's name wrong. In that case the character's name was 夏臣 with the furigana なおみ. Unfortunately the LN translation called him Natsuomi. I even checked the raws of the LN and confirmed...

@Scotch212 just so you know, his name is Tooyama. If you check page 10 of the raw on comic walker, you'll see Uehara call him 遠山 with the furigana とおやま.

The original chapter title was just お. It was alluding to the wordplay on おしおき. I've updated the chapter title to "Di..." to make it clearer, but the original was pretty vague to begin with.

We have the CLRD, TL, and PR done for a few more chapters. One of other TS offered to pick it up, so we may continue. The TL and CLRD have other series they're working on now, though, so I can't say for sure.
