Would the "Assimilation Rate" something tied to the deviation with his original timeline ? For instance, each time he ends up involved in something that didn't involve him in his past, he loses % of assimilation. Only thing I can't explain is why he'd lose these % when dying then.

I agree as well, this arc has been stretched so hard to please those who asked for character development it's now over-bearing. I love this chapter tho, it's just the arc as a whole that's taking way too long without Saitama doing anything so far. This chapter had a lot of interesting heroes...
