Chapter 2 mentioned it was 1565, and this chapter says it is now 1571, so it's now been around 6 years. She got transported when she was in high school (usually 16-18).

The passage of time in this manga gives me such whiplash. You can say x number of years passed by but it just hits different when characters you see one or a few chapters before just so changed.

I don't think the logic of making the witches the incarnation of evil or sth like that was the best plan they could have made. That would've been counterproductive as the persecution of witches would lead to less pawns for their experiments before the church could get their hands on the witches...
