Whenever I see a character like the prince, I always think that it reflects rather poorly on the author. It is basically them saying: "I lack the writing ability to create a compelling and believable antagonist!"

Honestly, pretty on point with what gods are said to be like. All mythologies/religions are really fucked up if you read the texts and history of them.

I find it hard to be sad when an author just throws in a hilariously cartoonish villain character with no context or explanation at all. Just speaks of bad writing to me.
