Can't help but think Rie deserves a little better, but we haven't seen Hiren with a new leaf turned over for very long, compared to Rie, where that's 99% of what we've seen of her.

That also threw me for a loop. I think the line that seems to be the top/front of her upper leg is actually her arm. Note how it leads down to her hand, once it goes onto the other side of her knee. An unfortunate tangent of sorts. Some kind of shading on the arm might have kept it from looking...

The emotional whiplash from "this girl is so mean, he should break up with her" to "this dude genuinely sucks, she should break up with him".

That's a twist that really refrains the whole "can only sleep with the protagonist around" premise.
