I am confused about what kind of point you are trying to make. I don't think she did that because of Hikari watching, I think she did it mainly because it was Yuu, while the former part was just an additional weight. I know she is questioning this part herself in this chapter, but people seem to think she did it solely to spite Hikari.

This is the opposite of what happened as shown in 2 previous chapters.

In this very chapter she says she knows Yuu would never do such things with a person he didn't have feelings for, so she doesn't treat their past relationship as a "mess she dragged him into". The only mess she could get angry at for his sake was the ghosting thing, but she's not aware of it yet.

I mean, just compare her monologues in both chapters. In ch. 40 she desperately wants him to recognise her lies, while here she desperately wants Hikari to stop her truth assault. Because, at the end of the day, admitting she still loves Yuu equals confronting Hikari to her.

Now that I think about, Yuu also had a reaction Yami wanted from Hikari. With Yuu she wanted him to see through her lies and recognize the feelings she still had. With Hikari she wanted her to just accept the lie (not believe it, as @Catbowl pointed out) and go along with Yuu's confession...

Also Maruto just had to give Hikari all the lines that Yami wanted to hear from Yuu. This is just glorious. Can't wait for the next volume. Feels like "I haven't thought a millimeter about the story from here on" is a cover-up for something, considering he already wrote a side story.

What is the point of making her aware when she is setting him up with other girls? That's just a clear sign she doesn't like him romantically at all, and this is exactly why he didn't want her to know he liked her, it was obviously one-sided and would only have made things awkward between them.
