Well they do have a good reason to kick him out since all of his combat stats are the lowest. A party of lvl 99 characters wouldn't want to bring a level 1 to a raid boss now would it. Thou it seems like MC has a talent to crafting and other non combat jobs.
well just went over to lhscan to see the raws. According to the people in the comments. MC will still struggle fighting other swordsmen who is the same age as him. Author just nerfs the MC on some battles.

A million years is over exaggerated for sword training. Maybe a 100 to 200 yrs something is enough to make MC OP. There is already a similar manga where MC trained for 500 yrs and became stupidly OP.
This MC better not struggle to any enemy when he gets back
