Author this is not a good way to have drama in your story. The 'overhear and misinterpet' trope is unanimously hated. This best not drag on more than a chapter or two. Drama is important to romances because it can get stale without them, but doing it in such cheap ways ruins the story as a whole...

I'm fine if it's established at the start (or at least heavily implied). I know what I'm getting into doing that. When it's added in later on it feels like it's just used as an excuse to extend the story way beyond what is needed with lots of nonsense in-between. Reminds me of that manga...

Honestly I could just to without Ren, at least as a love interest. I can't say I'm overly interested in her as a character. The chapters of the main two alone are usually much more enjoyable to watch, having all three in a chapter ends up as a weird tug of war which leads to nowhere.

Do people actually enjoy throuple stuff? I feel like it's just a shitty compromise because the author doesn't want to pick a side since people will prefer one girl over the other.

It's the issue of being a mangaka I guess. It's a job so ending your current manga means having to come up with new things which takes time. Having drama prolongs the story, the issue is the drama is often easily avoidable or completely unwarranted so comes across as really shallow and just...

I like the manga but going off the cover art I'm not sure I can deal with this tug of war love triangle that's upcoming for 5 more volumes. Hopefully it's not as bad as it seems.
