Re: the point that "isekai" is reducible to a combination of other tags: True, but a major point of the tags is to offer convenient searchability. As dumb as the genre is, it was the first new tag addition we had because it was the single most widely requested tag back when it didn't exist.

I did have a go at implementing a fullscreen mode way back when but I ran into problems with I think browser interoperability, and fit modes and scrolling specifically if I remember correctly. It didn't seem worth the effort to fight with when you can just press F11 to hide the browser toolbar...

It doesn't help that few if any ad companies reputable enough that we would even remotely consider them most likely wouldn't be interested in a completely opt-in model. The CTRs are already low, imagine telling them we'd be serving those ads to a tiny fraction of the userbase.

I don't see how this is necessarily about leap chapters. Hiding titles would be more relevant when applied to all unread chapters instead. Could possibly make that an option, I guess. Dunno how useful it would be because I don't really remember anyone complaining about this potential issue, not...

Bleeding seems way too common to even need consideration. We'll still want the tags to be representative of the title, even if we decided to lower the bar for Content tags in particular (which we haven't even talked about). I find it hard to believe anyone who's particularly averse to bleeding...

You mean the gap warning thing? Legacy is Legacy because it's not going to get updates, except for the rare exceptions where not updating it would outright break some new feature outside the reader itself, such as the recent external chapter (i.e. MangaPlus support) update.
