So the Church has their own factions inside… The priest seems aware that things have been going missing, so it’s not like the Church is completely evil but rather, a small selection of people are using the Church’s influence for their own gains.

Well, that solves the issue of "why not use the food truck as a safe zone?". It's temporary. And you can't fight back. There's no point in having a temporary indestructible shield if the monsters are still out there and you can't do anything about it. They can just wait and you only have 2 hours.

She'll probably upgrade her skills to allow full control later. The only downside being that she can't randomly teleport to new places anymore.

I like that she opted out from upgrading the Movement skill. Usually, that's the first thing people would upgrade since it gives them freedom and flexibility but in her case, doing so would only restrict her to that grungy cave in the 4th Floor. So she made the right call to not use it. Random...
