The series has, unfortunately, gotten deeply stupid over time. There used to be more overhead shots of battle when there was actual care paid to keeping things plausible.

It's a shame that the author shifted to that new series instead (regardless of the circumstances that forced it). This is one of the few pieces of cultivation fiction that nails its tone.

How cool for a protagonist to get lucky! Wow! Totally cool how fate has smiled upon this guy through a series of contrivances. Wow! It sure is cool to see a protagonist become strong instead of weak, because they wouldn't be a protagonist enjoying a protagonist's luck and readers' adoration...
