Usually fictional media, be it movies, videogames or comics, don't depict violence towards children (explicitely at least). You don't see children in first person shooters for example. You don't see npc kids in videogames where you can kill all characters you see. That's because we see children...

yeah, thanks for the advice. But at this point I've been using Gimp for some years, so I guess I'm fine with that. Gimp is a rather powerful tool, unfortunately not the easiest to use. If I had more time I would certainly learn to use it more proficiently.
