I'm not the translator, but in chapter 3 when Diode introduces herself, the text uses "Die OD" in romaji, with "Overdose" given in ruby. As she tells the inspector, Diode is just the handle she uses. She hasn't used the name Kanna Isidoro Gendo at any point prior to this chapter.

A translator note about Chika's lunge on page 8:

Yup, it abruptly ends on a cliffhanger. Not clear on the circumstances, but after this chapter was published Inamitsu abruptly changed publishers from Shogakukan to Akita Shoten and began serialization of Seishokuki.

Suimasen has no plans to translate the novels. I haven't heard of any other unofficial translations underway, either.

It's important to remember that sci-fi is often a way to explore modern social issues. By moving to an exotic setting, it naturally puts the reader in a mindset to compare and contrast against the culture they currently live in. The TCR novels explore heteronormativity, and how it crushes people...

My guess is since the haul ended up being twice the weight Terra estimated, it was too heavy to actually return to port with.
