I thought you guys had it right in the last chapter when everyone said it was the phone of Mashiro that showed that she passed. Genuinely surprised.

The story wasn't bad, but it wasn't very interesting either. The build-up didn't go anywhere, and the ending was disappointing. However, as I can read the author wanted to write about asexuality, so in that sense, she achieved her goal.
