Got, reobtained it, same difference, really. He "lost" it to a fever when he was much younger - probably just locked away - and the head trauma unlocked it again. The headache and passing out was probably not just a concussion but also his mana suddenly shooting up.

Or it simply had an ending planned the whole time and was always meant to be a (relatively) short, contained story. They do that sometimes, not everything is a 800+ chapter zombie series.

Did they butcher it, or did they base it on the novel, and the manga is just better than the origional source? Remember, most adaptations (manga, anime, novels, comic books, etc) are based on the original source rather than other adaptations. It's just a lot simpler that way, business-wise...

Why wait for that? Just go in, murder everybody and bring in new settlers. Heck, make them slaves and fit them with collars so if they even think about trying to disobey they die. Solves everything! :rolleyes: (PS: Sarcasm)
