Yea, if you look at the Art page or the thumbnail for this manga, you'd know the latest volume is volume 20, so we're quite far behind

while stupid as a test, it does also act as a wake call to get people into preparatory action (aka make people take the threat seriously). it is the worst way to do so, but it does push people to be ready for any future threat, better than just telling em usually
