I thought this panel said "Which way DID we go...", and that scared the shit out of me. I was like: "Did he... did have a freudian slip? Does he know about Kiska's powers?! So he IS the bad guy!" Unfortunately that did not happen, and I think it would have made this manga 100x more interesting.

I agree. I've said before that this manga lives in the meta-layers. It uses three layers to build up to it.

Personally, I thought she would react that way at the end of their date. But then she goes and kisses him! Sasuga, Sasuga Kei (Still, there's a possibility Hiromi's proposal might set her off. No eye contact, a slumped over hug....)
