Bruh what is it with revenge plot manga shitting themselves lately? Like sure it wasn't a highbrow genre to begin with but even something as gratuitous as the black magic hero or the healing hero ones had SOME redeming qualities.

I mean, I guess she did actually confess so it's better than the other cliche trope where 3rd wheel confesses to Shun and Natsuki somehow misinterprets Shun as accepting it leading to dumb shenanigans based entirely off of Japanese wordplay. But not by much.

Is there a term for when a story starts introducing characters or involving background characters out of nowhere just to start slaughtering them off? Is it just toture-porn? I've yet to see a manga do this well.

I second feelings about the weird add-ons, but is it just me or are the facial expressions becoming weird too? Like some characters seem to be expressing completely opposite emotions to what they're saying.
