I thought maybe it was an illusion... but you can't really just 'set' a city on fire all casual like. Holy flame being able to cover that much space would be quite a rank up (also, color?). it's either that or incendiary bombs or something like, and that seems extreme and outside of his abilities.

Hmm, sometimes he gains a skill, and sometimes he doesn't when he uses Transmogrify. I wanted him to pick up Holy Sword, that seemed like a good skill (mana-less magic sword). Also, Immortal huh. That's sometimes double edged, wonder how it works in this.

MC should've really assumed the Commander would have a part to play (a paladin/templar, neat). The dungeon levels on the 10s are these big events. No way they are going to just be show up and solo a boss.

I'm going to guess Grausam learned of his death, and will fake it happening in order to be in the current time line. The worst case (as a story) I can think of is if the Author has him use her knowledge of her journey to also take Stark or Fern's place in her party... but demons in this world...

Basically correct, MC (Van) doesn't want to die and be reincarnated into a 4th life (Rodcorte's promise to him ). Van doesn't remember any of the previous reincarnations before his Earth life.
