Agreed. I have no idea why, but the plot has derailed hard. It can barely be considered the same series anymore. Hell, you could pick it up from after they left the forest and read everything before on sparknotes.

The tonal whiplash of this series is insane. Several chapters of family bonding; all his loved ones are dead and the main character kills literally the rest of the entire cast himself afterwards; fluffy moments with the funny cute talking animal that then brings him to a different kingdom after...

…yeah, this certainly could’ve been adapted way better than it was. Christ, that was not a good read.

Don’t bother responding to him. He’s active on a lot of other series, too, mainly as a hater with constant negativity and murderhobo requests. 100% he’s just rage baiting.

You summed it up well, yeah. It was fine at first, but there’s so many questionable actions since then that there’s no single part of the story I can point to and call bad. It’s all the little things that’ve built up to this plotless mess.

I remember adding this to read later years ago. I must’ve developed taste or something since then, because hot damn does this suck ass. As generic as it gets, no stakes, barely any plot, things get added for no particular reason and are never properly explored, etc, etc. This is the wattpad...

I swear, reading this manga is a practice in discipline. I’m quite proud of myself for reaching this far.

He does eventually leave the kingdom. Unfortunately, it doesn’t get much better… (story wise).

So it’s basically Makoto’s domain from Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Dōchū, except with even less restrictions.
