When you have to crank out chapters with as many pages as Hajime no Ippo, you have to simplify your art style. It's simply not possible to draw a detailed Ippo still not getting in the ring week after week, month after month, year after year; please understand.

Is it? The original Japanese title is given as 'まじとら' (Maji tora!). The English title is not a translation of that Japanese title, seems like it was just made up. Wouldn't be the first time a 'translator' decides to blatantly make shit up to push their headcanon.

Japanese is not English. Many words in Japanese used to refer to people are not explicitly gendered, but rather their gender is implied through context. The meaning in Japanese in context (series explicitly about girls, comment explicitly about a girl) is not 'chairperson', so a translation to...
