What a satisfying chapter! The best part was how everyone was very much "themselves" - though not in a static, negative, sense - rather we began to see the characters as they moreso truly are - that scene of the consort and the minister arguing tooth and nail was simply ... fabulous. And...

Regarding the evil spirits thing ... and coming at it only from the pov of a manga reader, we have seen that magic does indeed exist in the world (of course) and does have a direct effect on things, and we have been informed that "demons" (whatever those are - we have not outright met one yet)...

Actually, I find myself rather liking Nishio's character so far as well. ˆˆ
