    These N class branch-line locomotives were introduced in 1925 by Victorian Railways after a policy was set for locomotives to be built to be gauge converted. They were also a bit too long for the branch-lines they ran. The class were retired in 1966 and 2 examples have survived.

    Z522 and Z524 were built by the Phoenix Foundry in Ballarat for Victorian Railways in 1893. Both were steam passenger motors with a full length cab which was later reduced to reveal the chimneys and domes. Both locomotives were scrapped in 1910 and 1911 respectively.

    Nah, I find these images myself, I ain't that old! Most of these photos are from Ozbob. Some also come from the late Weston Langford, who sadly died in 2014. Weston used to record Victorian Railways history since 1960, resulting in many photos. Same for Oz and his relatives.

    I do like both, but I can be more in side with modern rolling stock. Preferably Victorian Railways' EMD diesels (B class, T class, S class), our Melbourne multiple units (Comeng, Hitachi, and Siemen Nexas), JR's stock, etc. I would only hate maglevs/monorails at most.
