I'm so curious which series you're talking about.

It was explained that the element (based on the beast) is determined during the game by the player's actions, so it kinda makes sense. It still doesn't really make sense, since there would be a 50% chance of it not working, but I guess the game would just go down a different route in that case...

I know this chapter is kinda just filler, but it encapsulates so much of what I love about this manga. It doesn't have the "hit me right in the feels" part, or much of the horror element or metaphorical discussion of suicide, but the charm is palpable.

The author clearly has some experience. They've been making manga about suicide since at least 2010, and I can tell from reading this one that they truly understand it.

Your judgementality towards someone who is likely much more familiar with suicide than you (based off the way you phrased your first comment) is easily 10x more distasteful than someone using fantasy manga nonsense as metaphorical tools in their fictional story about cheery magical girls...

I just read the first 20 chapters, and this series has quickly become one of my absolute favorites. Absolutely gorgeous eye candy art, an intriguing world, a hilarious sense of humor, A+-tier characters & character designs, and multiple solid punches right in the feels. I've gotta check out...

At first I was worried those haunting memes of the fall guy skeletons were going to ruin this, for me, but the cuteness blew all the cursedness away.

There are so many little details about this chapter that feel like they were cosmically destined to appeal to me, in particular. Karane-san being cute. Karane-san standing up for her friends in a truly based way. Karane-san's character design & outfit being highlighted. Ahko-chan being adorbs...

One of my favorite chapters, so far. It's just so perfect. I think this and the Shizuka-chan introduction chapters were the ones that evoked the most emotion from me.
