The panel where they've fallen on each other and are both girls had me thinking about a secret Yuri route for sure. To be honest though I've enjoyed how they both seem to be into each other regardless of what gender anyone is presenting at the time and would really regret any ending that...
Very good series that runs out of steam in the latter half and just kinda meanders to a close without really resolving much. Definitely still cute and worth reading if you like spice of life school stuff.
I make a rule not to convert height out of centimeters to imperial because that way I can blissfully assume the people the manga says are tall actually are. Otherwise I check and get very confused by what Japan thinks is tall.

If Ida here is a good example of how the Association views magic, i.e. "Use it for everything" that probably explains why sensei isn't interested in joining. He seems to be in the "don't use magic as a crutch" camp.
It can definitely be a thing where people get nervous when it starts to become obvious there is mutual attraction there and back off a bit. Honestly good on them for sorting that out in just a couple weeks; there was a six month gap between my now wife and I's first and second dates. 😅
Also Japanese is a very gendered language, men and women use different words for the same concept and presumably one is inclined to subconsciously respect that. So even if a cute lady sounds a bit husky if she's using feminine coded speech I would guess most folks would take that at face value...
Basileus is Greek for "King/Emperor", I don't know if Grehador has a hidden meaning I don't know of but I got a chuckle out of the King's last name being King
