This is confusing for those that didn't read the novel. They not only recaped but also flat out skipped a lot between the first manga and this one.

Unless Dabura hits Mahoraga with an attack he had never seen before that completelly destroys mahoraga in one go, Dabura will only win thanks to plot armor

This series is barely about the MC being a beast tamer. This is a problem I find with most stories of this genre. They start with the MC gettjng a few monsters and then push them to the background for the MC do other things and the monster catching aspect is nearly forgotten
