To be fair, I think the fact we're reading this one chapter at a time is exacerbating the issue. I think if it was read in it's intended way (i.e. volume to volume), this wouldn't be as much of an issue. Either way, I personally don't mind a little bit of slow burn.

I'd love to see more character development if this ever gets turned into a series. The 2 main characters are definitely flawed (to put it mildly), but this is still a pretty interesting dynamic.
