Unironically great growth from shima. At the beginning of this story, the most she would’ve reacted to a confession would’ve been “huh weird let’s ignore that” but instead she’s choosing to face it head on and grow into someone who can properly acknowledge adachi’s feelings
That realization to actively invest your time in what you care about, instead of letting it pass due to the fear of future pain from it ending means so much to me
“She’s always asking for permission” says the one that has explicitly stated on several occasions that she must ask permission to initiate things that adachi perceives as intimate
Shima clearly has some deep rooted issues when it comes to interpersonal relationships and it’s absolutely enthralling. It almost feels like a psychological horror with how incredibly apathetic she is at points that she absolutely should not be
“Ichika saved you from your eternal suffering”
Ichika regains her memory after 3 months, proverbially being resurrected after a set of 3 units of time
Close enough, welcome back Jesus
Oh so the reunion is actually happening here. Ngl I was starting to think that the author decided to move away from the original bit of trying to find Mai
